The West of Shetland is a proven petroleum basin already benefiting from the Clair, Foinaven and Schiehallion producing oil fields and represents an area which contains an estimated 17% of the UK's remaining hydrocarbon reserves. It is an area of high exploration activity attracting several companies working across many licences. At Hurricane, we believe that the area remains under explored for oil and that new exploration concepts are required to unlock its remaining potential.

1Oil equivalent barrels includes gas; reserves status subject to regulatory approval and project sanction; based on combination of RPS Nov-2013 CPR (Whirlwind oil case, excluding Strathmore and Tempest/Typhoon) and RPS May-2017 CPR (Note that PRMS advises that arithmetic addition of resources is not statistically correct)
